Guest Night on October 3, 2017

In this age of cyber space, social media, Facebook, Twitter, and internet relationships we have lost the benefits of having a real friendship or being part of a group of friends. The vicarious friendships we have in cyberspace do not compare to the physical shaking of a friend’s hand, having a live conversation, sharing meaningful activity and being in the proximity of good friends. Being part of a something greater than one’s self is at the core of life’s meaning. To that end we invite you to be a part of our group.
The Arkansas River Barbershop Chorus is the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society formerly known as the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. or the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of BarberShop Quartet Singing in America Inc. We are a fun-loving group of singers that enjoy a wholesome activity sharing quality time of singing and camaraderie. We are looking for likeminded men to join us and help us to preserve this all-American art form.
What could be more fun than 20 perfectly synchronized male voices sing in four-part harmony. Even better this is a hobby that your wife, girlfriend, or significant other can support and approve of. We all need some “my time” to relieve stress and forget our busy hectic schedules for just a while. What better way than in the company of fellow singers enjoying an evening of fellowship and song.
We will be hosting a song fest and pizza party in the next few weeks and would like for you to attend. Please complete and return the enclosed RSVP and we will send you the music for the songs we will be singing and the details: Date, time, place of the songfest. We also encourage you to share this invitation with any men you think may also be interested.
If interested, please send an email to with your name and address, and we will get a copy of the music and a learning CD out to you as quickly as possible, or make other arrangements to get media to you! Hope to see you there!
